American shooting guard JT Roach joined German powerhouse Fraport Skyliners for the 2018-2019 campaign. He will be mainly part of the ProB team of coach Sebastian Gleim but will also get the chance to practice and play for Gordon Herbert who is the coach of the BBL squad.
The 6’5’’ Californian native graduated 2018 at the Concordia University Irvine. At the same time he played for the college basketball team Concordia Eagles and was basically the Go-to-Guy. In 2017-2018 he had very impressive numbers averaging 17.1 ppg, 3.9 rpg, 1.9 apg and 1.4 spg in 32 minutes of action. One of the best games he played in the past season happened against the Chaminade University where he scored 40 pts shooting 12-18 from outside. In Frankfurt he’ll face a similar role like at Concordia being the main scorer and leader for the team.
The Skyliners basketball program is known for it’s great player development and the excellent practice possibilities. For example will all the players live right next to the practice facilities which is perfect for any gym rat.
We’re happy that we’ve been able to support JT making his first steps into pro business and looking forward to a long and trustful relationship and cooperation. All the best from the whole ATHLEADZ fam for the upcoming season with the Skyliners!
