ROBERT CARDENAS RUDA

In the summer of 2016, Robert Cárdenas Ruda founded the sports and marketing agency ATHLEADZ. The same year he finished his 13-year career as a professional basketball player. During this time he was part of teams like Erdgas Baskets Jena, Mitteldeutscher Basketball Club, Saar-Pfalz Braves and Niners Chemnitz (all 2nd division). While playing for MBC, Robert won the championship of the German 2nd national basketball league ProA in 2009 and also graduated as a media designer. Robert always thinks and acts out of our clients perspective, without putting own interests in front of their personal goals. He has access to a big and continuously growing national and international network.
ALEXANDER GOOLSBY
Player Agent Basketball
Alexander Goolsby has been part of the ATHLEADZ sports family as a player’s agent since summer 2020 and can look back on a long and successful career as a professional basketball player. During the period 2007-2020 he played for clubs such as TBB Trier, Artland Dragons, Art Giants Düsseldorf and WWU Münster. Alex successfully finished his trainee program as an Insurance Consultant during that time. With his large network, wealth of experience and knowledge in the field of professional sports and his expertise in the field of insurance, he is an excellent advisor for all of our clients.
MARCEL POPPE
Head of Football, Player Agent
Marcel Poppe has been primarily responsible for the football section within our agency since 2017. As a former professional football player for the 2nd national league football club FC Carl Zeiss Jena, he is well connected in the German and international football scene. Marcel also has a high level of expertise as an insurance and financial advisor, which enables him to provide our athletes and partners with the best possible and comprehensive advice.
FABIAN ZINK
Legal Consultant
Since our foundation in 2016, Fabian Zink has been responsible for legal advice to the agency and our clients. Fabian was part of the German 2nd national league basketball team Erdgas Baskets Jena before he ended his pro basketball career in 2009 in favor of his law studies, which he successfully completed at the University of Leipzig in 2013. Since then he has been working full-time as a lawyer and is in charge for all our contractual and legal cases.
